Today, I stepped inside the Chinese consulate in Toronto with a friend (who is going to the Beijing Olympics) and I was wondering if that would count as Chinese territory or am I still in Canada?

  1. No. Just like if you were to fly from Canada to Japan with a stopover in the US you would not have to go through customs in the US even though you are technically in the US.

  2. look up the address of said consulate.

  3. A consulate is not another country but only an extension of a country to be a domicile for its diplomats.

  4. no it does not
