Does stolen bread really taste better?

if you understand the metaphor, is it true that people have more of an urge to do something when they are told that it is wrong(morally, religiously, legally)?? if so: why?

Yes I think there is truth to the idea that making something forbidden makes it seem more attractive. however, remember that if you eat stolen bread (really or metaphorically) you have to look over your shoulder all the time.

I tell my son not to tough the stove, he does anyway.

Once you know it's wrong, there's a bit of rebel that makes you want to do it anyway.
