Does storing the stencil ink in the refrigerator actually help it last longer?

Question

I buy the ink to apply the logo on the strings for my rackets, and the tip always dries up after one use...it's like i pay $5 to apply the logos on my strings once...haha... >.>

I asked the owner of the tennis shop I buy my equipment at, and he told me to store the ink upside down in the refrigerator. He said it will make the ink last longer, and won't make the tip dry up?

Does anyone know if this is true? =/

to some extent
