  1. Not really.

    It does cause breakage which can make it appear that your hair isn't growing but in reality it is just breaking off.

  2. No your body cant tell that you are straightening your hair it might make your hair be damaged but it would not affect the growth. It is like how people think when they get a hair cut there hair grows faster. Total myth your body has no idea you cut your hair your hair is dead!

  3. It won't necessarily impact your hair growth, but it will cause damage that will make your hair thin and appear frizzy and broken. If you choose to straighten your hair often, try not to do it everyday. If you have wavy or curly hair it's likely that you can go a a couple days or so at a time between washes, so you can just leave it straight without straightening over and over.  Also, try to find some good products to protect and repair your hair.

  4. In most cases, it will just dry out and damage your hair after a while.

  5. yes it can becuase::

    if you are applying heat to your hair everyday it will damage your hair alot ((split ends; dryness: etc.))

    after its damaged it will take longer to grow out as opposed to healthy soft hair :)

    use a heat protectant!

  6. I've heard it does hurt your hair but i'm not  sure. I think a certain type of metal on the straightener (that most straighteners have now) is better for your hair. I use repairing stuff in my hair after i straighten it just in case
