Does stress and emotion have any effect in physical aging?

Would someone who smiles a lot age slower while one in continous stress age faster?

  1. Absolutely!  Stress, anxiety, depression, etc. tear down your immunities and can cause health problems. Health problems cause stress, anxiety, depression, etc. That in itself causes aging. Stay healthy and take care of yourself - eat right, vitamins, moisturizing, lotions, potions, etc. will help, too. And drink lots of water.....


  2. yes stress causes you to age quicker but not dramatically. Smiling has nothing to do with it you need to be generally not stressed.

  4. If you are an unhappy person and frown a lot you will get frown lines.  Stress will age you very quickly!  So do stay happy!  :-D    lol!

  5. Most definitely, yes.  Think about your nerves shooting out from your spinal cord into every area of the body.  Smiling and laughing helps, but it is what's going on inside emotionally that needs attention for a healthier life.
