Does stress causes bloating and/or water retention??

I just moved have been stressed out and have been obsessing over my body. I just finished my period so its not pms and I am bloated as h**l. My regular jeans barely fit. What gives? I feel like a big fat whale and yet Ive been working out everyday....

  1. We are not fully aware of all the secretions that take place in our body. Yes , stress does cause an increase in weight. It could be both bloating and water retention. Try to give accupressure ( pointed pressure ) on your palms and find out the places where it hurts.

    Keep giving pressure on those points for 10 times without pressing them continuously, but pressing and leaving in succession.

    Also try taking gentian, bach flower remedy during bedtime to reduce the effects of stress. Do you suffer from constipation too?


  2. Stress causes a LOT of symtoms, so i think yours may be one of them. But if it gets a lot worse, go see a doctor. Try to relax, and i think it'll go away eventually.
