Does student dependant can switch the visa into student visa after complition of his partners course?

i m a student dependant, so i want to be student and my husband would be dependant .....is it possible to apply without going back to home country?

  2. You can change your non-immigrant status in US by filing I-539. http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-539ins...

    However to get actual F1 Visa stamped on your passport, you need to go US Embassy or Consulate outside of US.
