These are neurological symptoms, obviously, so I'm just wondering. Does the condition cause damage to the brain?

  1. SUN poison? Like daylight?

    I'm flabbergasted.

I guess you could dig a  burrow.

  2. Heat stress (which I assume you mean by the described symptoms) probably kills off roughly as many brain cells as a hangover.  Like getting a hangover, heat stress shouldn't cause any serious brain damage if you experience it occasionally, but if you do it repeatedly, lasting symptoms may develop.

However, if the heat stress is not treated (by getting out of the heat and drinking fluids) it can progress to heatSTROKE.

Someone with heatstroke may the same symptoms as heat stress (but more severe), plus possibly bizarre behavior and high blood pressure.  They may have seizures, collapse, lose consciousness and possibly die.  In this case, brain damage and other organ damage is certainly possible.
