Does sunbutter taste like peanutbutter ?

I am allergic to peanutbutter and i was looking for an alternative to it like sunflower butter....

try almond butter. i havent gone back to peanut butter after trying it. so freakin good!

It's not EXACTLY like peanut butter, but the texture and taste are pretty darn awesome.  My son is allergic to milk, egg, soy and nuts, so this is what we use.  We absolutely love it.  In fact, my husband and I eat more of it than our son does because it tastes so good.  

It sounds to me like most of the people who responded never actually TRIED the stuff.  

Oh... and they even have crunchy now.  We've been fighting over the jar of that stuff!

Sunbutter is awesome!  We get it at Lowes Foods.  I thought it was a bit weird at first (I used to eat peanut butter by the spoonful before I found out my son was allergic to peanuts).  I quickly got used to the sunbutter and eat it almost every day now!

you could try almond butter or soy nut butter. I've never tried sunbutter
