Does supreme court opinion re 2nd amendment mean liberals will lose the war?

The decision is huge because it nullifies the main constitutional argument the left has against personal gun ownership, which is that the Framers intended the 2nd Amendment to only apply to militias.

The left's hope of banning guns outright now is more or less dashed.  All they can hope for now are restrictive gun control laws, though not a complete ban.
