  1. Yes it does. It works your leg and arm muscles. It helps uper and lower body.


  2. definitely, core mostly. but its a great sport for your whole body!

  4. not agility as agility is the ability to change direction quickly and swimming doesn't really involve this.  Maybe strength to a certain extent as you are pushing off the wall which is explosive strength.  But swimming mainly improves your cardiovascular and muscular endurance if you train for long periods of time (in your aerobic training zone).  Also speed is improved if you train in short bursts (in your anaerobic training zone).

  5. not sure about agility

    depends on what level you train at ie competitive or just for fun

    if you train regally and with  anaerobic sessions then your strength will improve
