  1. Swimming laps is one of the best forms of exercise to tone your body.  You use all of your muscles!


  2. It would thin you out at first, but then you would gain muscle once you are lean.  You'll be toned up after your body gets used to it.

  3. If by skinny you mean weak-looking and non-muscular, then NO.

    If you mean it gets you in shape and builds tone, then YES.

    Athletes who swim are some of the best in shape, they have fun doing it, and they don't have to life weights either.

    And for me, exercising too late in the day (jogging, whatever) gets me charged up, but if I'm swimming, I come out refreshed and sleep comes so easily.

    Too good a combination to pass up.

    i don't really know how to comment on the make you skinny bit because you will probably lose some fat because it is and intense form of exercise that burns off lots of calories, but you might put on weight rather than losing it because muscle weighs more than fat
