  1. Yeah.

Take as much as u can.

However, going into 11th and 12th grades you'll be able to take AP classes (otherwise known as Suicide Classes).  These classes are at college level and upon completion of the school year you take an AP test (created via Collegeboard) and if you pass with at least a 3/5 you get college credit(s).

Take as many honors as you can, but don't overwhelm yourself because that's not only detrimental to your health but also to your social life (unless you want to go to an Ivy League etc.)

  2. yes

getting an a in honors in a higher gpa then getting an a in regular, therefore, the more honors you take, the higher ur overall gpa

  3. Yep.  When colleges see your in Honors, Ap, Advanced etc. they know you challenge yourself more than other students and they like students like that.  If you get good grades in them then theyll be more inclined to accept you and maybe offer you a scholarship.  You also need good extracurriculars and good test scores

  4. Honors classes look good to colleges because they show that you can take on a harder course.  AP (Advance Placement) and IB (International Baccalaureate) classes are even better because they are just like taking college level classes.  Plus, you can take the AP and IB tests at the end of the year, and test out of some of the basic college classes like maths, sciences, languages, physics, etc.  Honors, AP, and IB classes also boost your overall GPA.  You usually get an extra point toward your GPA for every honors class you take. Example: If you get in A in Honors English you will get get a 5 for that ckass instead of a 4 like you would get in regular English (A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0 scales).  If you get straight A's in all your classes, you can end up with a GPA over 4.0.  You can also get invited to join the Hnors program once you start college if you took honors claases in high school, and there are schoalrships specifically for honors students.
