Question:

Does taking an over the counter pain reliever once in a while inhibit building muscle?

i work out a lot and i take protein shakes after i work out

once in a while ill have a headache, and take ibuprofen/acetaminophen/aspirin to get rid of it, and i know this thins the blood, but does it delay trying to grow muscle ?

The simple answer...no it doesn't.  While it is true that blood carries many nutrients that help build bone mass it is highly unlikely (unless you are anemic of course) that any ibuprofen based medication would effect the growth of your body mass.  The reasoning behind this is that the nutrients will diffuse into your bloodstream at the same rate however thick your blood is.  If you want a more complicated answer you would have to get into biological chemistry which is hard to teach over the internet.
