  1. um first off maybe u cant be promoted right away like that it takes time just take a deep breath... and let it out.... and do that once more...

NOW WHAT THE HEC ARE YOU SAYING?!!?! FIRST OFF DON'T GO THINKING YOU WILL GET PROMOTED IN A YEAR!!!! THATS WAY TO SOON!

now that we are all calm, i highly doubt taking them will disqualify u, everybody has a prblem with them selves nobodys perfect right? so anit depressants just help give u alittle boost and more confidence..

i think hey i am only 13 what do i know?

  2. depends on WHY you were on them  and whether or not you went off them with your doctor's approval and have functioned normally since doing so.  .  same for Officer or enlisted.

  3. I answered that question when you first asked it. I am a retired Navy Officer. With the Navy Medical Department. And I also gave you the citation from the medical standards which apply to your case. Your use of the anti-depressants was episodic. It won't disqualify you.

  4. I don't know if it disqualifies you, but it can hinder your eligibility to receive commission.  And please, if you have a degree or is close to receiving your degree, do ask about OCS or NROTC! I can't stress that to you enough. You're quality of life will be much better if you become an officer vs. enlisted. Do not let the recruiter talk you into becoming enlisted with out explaining all your options and allowing you to make your judgment. It all depends on how long you took the medication, what you where taking it for, and what will be the results of your psych evaluation that will determine if you're officer eligible. Research these things before you just believe what the recruiter tells you. He/she has a quota to meet, and they could care less about your career options.
