Does taking the first punch hurt?

does the first punch in a fight hurt and while the fight has been going on do the punches hurt or is the adrenaline a big factor

  1. Well, I would imagine just before the fight adrenaline is extremely high, which dulls the blow. I would imagine at the time of the fight, it doesn't hurt that much; but afterwards I would imagine is when it starts to hurt.

Getting punched never feels real good, at least that's my experience.  But normally they get to me more mentally than physically, especially when the adrenaline is pumping.  Anyhow a lot of it is circumstantial to the situation and your pain tolerance.  The situation alone may already get your adrenaline going, which is always going to help.  Also depends on who is throwing the punch, where it lands, and how clean it lands.  Sorry I can't be more specific, but I do believe it is accurate that it is largely circumstantial and never feels great.

  3. it depends where it hits. the nose always hurts, so does the solar plexus and the balls of course ;)
