  1. Technology is considered a tool for humanity but is a sin in nature. In comparison to all other animals, we are the most advanced of them all and we are also the most manipulative and the most destructive. we are also the race that tends to escape nature and to even alter and control it, one way is through technology. Cell phone, the A bomb and in the future, a time machine, these are distortions to nature and this is caused through technology. It alienates us, from nature...

  2. both. with the increased technology we save money by fewer airfares, hotel costs, etc, but when having conferences (for example) via videophone we do lose that personal one-on-one interaction that most people desire.

  3. I agree that the answer is both.

Depending on one's perspective the answer will vary.

Macro-level perspective - Technology is a benefit. We can communicate with a broader base of people and have a voice on issues that we would have never had a voice on prior to the technology we now have.

Micro-level perspective - Technology oftens harms the smaller societies. We know the names of people we have never actually met, but we spend hours with online. Yet, we do not know the names of our neighbors. We walk around town on cell phones ignoring that which is going on around us.
