  1. The borac acid advise is great. I did find that the pest offense wall plug in machine does work, especially for the little german roaches. The large ones usually come inside and go belly up. Good Luck


  2. No, Ridex does not work by all accounts. It does set up a small magnetic field, which isn't good for any life forms.

    Find a roach powder that contains boric acid.  That's the ingredient you need.  Sprinkle it behind the fridge, under cabinets and behind sofas, etc.  You don't want it anywhere where pets or children could get into it, because it's moderately poisonous (but not at much as most insecticides).  Roaches will track this stuff back to their nests and the whole nest will be wiped out.

    This will take about two weeks to be fully effective, but it works like magic.  I once cleared out roaches in an entire apartment building in Virginia (where roaches are king!) by using boric acid in one apartment.  Honest, it works.  And it's pretty cheap, less than $10 for a large container.
