Does that describe the Universe is expanding?

Quran: "With power did We construct the Universe. Verily, We are Able to extend the vastness of space thereof." [Quran 51:47] It is an accepted fact that we are living in an expanding universe.

It is true when it was discovered the Universe was expanding, technology saw the space was extending or expanding (same meaning) and things were moving away.

that describes the infinite size of the universe, not that universe IS expanding at a rate. it only says that universe can be extended. very smart god! universe is vast! and here extending and expanding are not the of the same meaning at all!
