  1. No. You are merely following the tenets set down by God to go Forth and multiply. You cannot multiply if you are having a same s*x relationship. Not in the past anyway. God doesn't hate homosexuals. He just realizes that you need a man and a woman to multiply. (Once again in the past) Love is love and no love is bad love (unless your a stalker).

Love they neighbor as you love yourself just don't be a pervert while doing so.

  2. No, as long as the reader, stays balanced.

Anyone may look up these Scriptures:

    Ge 2:24; 13:13; 18:20; 19: 4, 5

    Lev 18:22

    Ps 46:1

    Matt 19:4

    Ro 1:27,32

    1 Cor 6:11

    1 Thess 4:3,4

    Heb 13:4

    Jude 7

If you are so inclined to do so.

  3. It probably makes you uninformed. Homosexuality can't be unnatural, since about every species out there has examples of it. Leviticus 18:22 is probably not even about homosexuality in the original translation.

And it makes me wonder why you'd be against something your god created if you loved him so much.

  4. No. Disagreeing with something does not make anyone 'phobic' about anything.

Irrational fear makes people phobic. And accusing someone else of something that is not true to merely gain a standing in a polarizing subject; that is closer to showing phobic behavior than just merely disagreeing with something.

So once again, the loudest are often the worst, and often hypocritical!

  5. The word 'homophobia' actually only refers to fear of homosexuals, and is not properly used when referring to people who are against homosexuality. Some term like 'anti-homosexuals' or, perhaps more accurately, 'anti-homosexualists' would be a better term than 'homophobes' for most purposes.

That said, if one believes, on faith, that one is being watched over by a cosmic jewish zombie who was his own father and requires you to ceremonially eat his flesh while telepathically communicating with him so that he can remove a taint from your soul that is present because a rib-woman was once convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree, then I guess you could say one would be a freak, and if one is furthermore against homosexuality, that would make one an anti-homosexualist freak.

    >It is hard for me to tolerate people who make fun of other people disgusting ways

We atheists don't make fun of religious people so much as of religions themselves. However some religious people take ridiculing their religions very, very personally even when the ridicule isn't meant to be personal.

    >Jesus loves g**s. That does not mean that He does not them to change.

It is known to scientists that homosexuality is not a choice and that homosexuals cannot consciously change their sexual orientation. Attempts to 'cure' homosexuality and turn g**s straight through various kinds of therapy have tended to result mostly in making their subjects annoyed and depressed while not actually changing their sexuality. It hardly makes sense for Jesus to want homosexuals to become straight when he should already be aware that in most cases it isn't possible to achieve that.

  6. Jesus does not support homosexuality.

  7. Hello,

No, many of my friends have slipped into adultery and fornication and I'm not a heterophobe about it even though I know they are going against God's laws.

    Cheers,

    Michael Kelly

  8. No. Just do not answer homo question. From a troll.

  9. Try Domestic violence while you're at it, sister?

  10. If you look in Romans...you will see that we all sin...the list covers each and every one of us and we are not allowed to judge others, but treat others with love....

I think the point of the scriptures is to point us each individually to our own sin and let God work out salvation with others....

    We are called to Love....

That is the point of Jesus message...What someone does in their bedroom is between them and their maker..

    Just my opinion.

  11. No. Standing up for righteousness will provoke some, but does not make you a homophobe; contrary to what others claim.

  12. No, I am neither homophobic nor a "freak."  I have deep compassion for the struggles of those with homosexual/transgender tendencies.

However, the Bible explicitly states that God expects each one to turn our lives over to His guidance and instruction, and that includes fighting our sinful tendencies... NOT making excuses for ourselves.  We are also not to condone the ongoing unrepentant sins of others. However, so long as they are not professed Christians, it is not our place to "enforce" God's moral standard and/or counsel these individuals.  Instead, IF and ONLY IF the topic comes up, it would be best to make a short, RESPECTFUL declaration that, according to the Biblical standards which you adhere to, this type of sin (nor any other) is not to be glossed over.  Then there will be a mutual understanding of your PERSONAL position on the matter, to avoid "sharing in his sins."

"For what have I to do to judge them also that are without [outside the church]? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person." - 1 Corinthians 5:12-13 KJV

    [bracketed words are mine]

    Edit to add:

When possible, I'd rather share the gospel message with all that would listen, because I'm more concerned with the state of their salvation than their current "sin of choice."  I only discuss the "g*y" issue when it has been initiated by another, and I try to do so in a respectful and compassionate manner.

However, as respectful as we should aim to be, when challenged, we should stand firm to what the Bible states.  For some, nothing short of full and complete acceptance of their "lifestyle" will appease them. They do not believe that "tolerance" is enough. They become confrontational and demanding.  In this event, I would not hesitate to make a strong stand for what I know to be true.  It is ironic that so many people preach "tolerance" but they do not TOLERATE views that differ from their own.

  13. Does it make a man g*y to say he loves Jesus with all his heart? If you ask me it does.

  14. Jesus is not against homosexuality. You need to back up a second here. Yes some passages can be construed to be anti-g*y. Almost ALL from the Old Testament. Yet on the flip side I was under the understanding that the OT was not a Christian doctrine any more. SO is it just used to hate, is that how it works.

And for that matter, Jesus said not one word against g*y anything. If he came back to give us a message would he not speak out personally against g*y people? Why would he jut forget that fact.

And you say there was no g*y people in 0AD?  The Greeks and Romans had g*y couples, in fact most of their military had g*y s*x before war. This is all very well documented.

So which is it. It can't simply be everything and nothing at the same time here.

    EDIT: And since somebody asked...

    Leviticus 18:22:

"You shall not lie with a male as those who lie with a female; it is an abomination."

    Leviticus 20:13:

"If a man lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination and they shall surely be put to death."

Because these two verses in Leviticus (18:22 and 20:13) have been used more than any other Bible texts to condemn and reject g*y and L*****n people, the following material is given to help you think objectively about traditional abusive use of the Bible regarding homosexuals.

The use of Leviticus to condemn and reject homosexuals is obviously a hypocritical selective use of the Bible against g**s and lesbians.  Nobody today tries to keep the laws in Leviticus. Look at Leviticus 11:1-12, where all unclean animals are forbidden as food, including rabbits, pigs, and shellfish, such as oysters, shrimp, lobsters, crabs, clams, and others that are called an "abomination."  Leviticus 20:25 demands that "you are to make a distinction between the clean and unclean animal and between the unclean and clean bird; and you shall not make yourself an abomination by animal or by bird or by anything that creeps on the ground, which I have separated for you as unclean."  You can eat some insects like locusts (grasshoppers), but not others.

Leviticus 12:1-8 declares that a woman is unclean for 33 days after giving birth to a boy and for 66 days after giving birth to a girl and goes on to demand that certain animals must be offered as a burnt offering and a sin offering for cleansing. Nobody today who claims to be a Christian tries to keep these laws, and few people even know about them! Why do you think that most people don't know about them?

Read Leviticus 23 to see the detailed regulations concerning "complete rest" on the Sabbath day and demands of animal sacrifices to be carried out according to exact instructions.  Leviticus 18:19 forbids a husband from having s*x with his wife during her menstrual period.  Leviticus 19:19 forbids mixed breeding of  various kinds of cattle, sowing various kinds of seeds in your field or wearing "a garment made from two kinds of material mixed together."  Leviticus 19:27 demands that "you shall not round off the side-growth of your heads, nor harm the edges of your beard." The next verse forbids "tattoo marks on yourself."  Most people do not even know that these laws are in the Bible and are demanded equally with all the others.

  15. No.

God made Adam and Eve not adam and steve.

Human hearts are wicked. (Jer. 17:9)

What someone does in their bedroom is their business and God is watching, however if the sinful behavior overflows onto the streets, as a Christian, I will warn them.

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,  nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.  1 Cor. 6:9-10

Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”  Jn. 7:24

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,

And every tongue which rises against you in judgment

          You shall condemn.

This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,

And their righteousness is from Me,”

          Says the LORD.  Is. 54:17

You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.  Lev. 18:22

Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves,  who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.  Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;  being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers,  backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,  undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;  who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.  Rom. 1:24-31

Lets not forget Sodom and Gomorrah

Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house.  And they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally.”

So Lot went out to them through the doorway, shut the door behind him,  and said, “Please, my brethren, do not do so wickedly!  See now, I have two daughters who have not known a man; please, let me bring them out to you, and you may do to them as you wish; only do nothing to these men, since this is the reason they have come under the shadow of my roof.”

And they said, “Stand back!” Then they said, “This one came in to stay here, and he keeps acting as a judge; now we will deal worse with you than with them.” So they pressed hard against the man Lot, and came near to break down the door.  But the men reached out their hands and pulled Lot into the house with them, and shut the door.  And they struck the men who were at the doorway of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they became weary trying to find the door.  Gen. 19:4-11

Men need women and women need men for relations....in the context of Biblical Marriage.  There are only eternal consequences for homosexuals just as their are for other sins.  Christians need to tell them they are in great danger of eternal hellfire.  That is why Jesus said "GO" in  Matt. 28:19-20 and Mk. 16:15.

  16. No, it makes "one" or more a homophobic freak if they think the point of the bible is being against homosexuality.

There are only six scriptures in the entire bible that modern people use to back this belief.  Most of them have little or nothing to do with homosexuality, however with some imagination and creative interpretation, they have been made into a doctrine of hate.

There are HUNDREDS of sanctions against "fornication."  <not ten, not twenty, not a hundred...  but HUNDREDS.  Jesus said that fornicators should not get married...

If a person can change the focus of the Bible so much that homosexuality <a word that didn't even exist until less than 500 years ago> is the most important spiritual issue in modern times, then they haven't really studied the Bible.

It makes you a homophobic freak to use the Bible to do what Jesus specifically said not to do.  If you love Jesus...  follow HIS words.

If you believe homosexuality is wrong....

    don't engage in homosexuality.

Why do you have to be a female dog about it?

<not intended toward asker, specifically, just those who hold those opinions>

    *edit*

    "We all have our battles..."

Gosh...  it's odd that heterosexuals get to try not to lie, cheat and steal, but homosexuals have to go through life with no fulfillment in love or s*x.  That's a bit twisted, doncha think?

There is no scripture in the bible that backs that doctrine.  Keep your hatred and fear to yourself.

  17. We all should be Homophobic because Homosexuality is an unhealthy life style choice that shortens a person's life by over 21 years and brings God's Judgment upon our Country.

  18. Freak --no. Homophobic --yes.

There's absolutely no reason for anyone to be so obsessed with what consenting adults do in the privacy of their bedroom.

There's also no logical reason to deny anyone the same basic rights/privileges/happiness as the heterosexual population. Especially if this is based on religious beliefs, and the word of a god whom no one can prove exists.

  19. You are my kind of person!  I am not homophobic, and hopefully no one thinks of me as a freak.  I love God.  I love Jesus (God in the flesh) and Jesus has no prejudice against the g**s and lesbians.  In fact I will agree that Jesus healed those people in his days.  I don't think they will burn in h**l either.  They do no harm to another.  Their life is between them and God their Father.  We have nothing to do with their life.  We are accountable for ourself.  For you, for I, and once we save ourself; then find go save another.  Make sure you save yourself first or Jesus will say we are hypocrites.

  20. I do love the word of God, and Jesus.  And I do think homosexuality is wrong.

If you want to call me names because of that, then fine.  Whatever.

  21. Christians are not homophobic. We believe what God and the bible tells us. And contrary to other posters, the Old Testament is still VERY important to this day. The 10 commandments are there for one. And so is the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, where men were laying with men, women laying with women, doing unnatural, unclean and perverted acts. God's words. God didn't like this and He destroyed those 2 cities because of all the perverted acts going on there. The bible also tells us, as in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, so will the end times be. That prophecy sure has come to pass. Look at all the homosexuals who 'came out of the closet'. They number in the millions. We are not here to judge anybody, that is God's job, and being g*y is not the unforgivable sin. That will be between God and them as to the outcome of their souls. Those that don't overcome in this lifetime will have the 1000 years (the millennium) to do so. THEN, after that time period, satan will be loosed one last time to deceive all those that he can. satan is the father of sin, not God, and he is loving all this perversion going on in the world today, not just homosexuals, but look at the crimes going on around you every day. These are all signs of the end times. Those that do overcome will go to heaven and the eternity, those that do not will be cast into the lake of fire and perdition(death) along with satan if they still choose to follow him. It's their choice to make.
