Question:

Does the 5th edition of calculus by james Stewart have the same homework problems as the 6th edition? ?

I have to buy the calculus book 6th edition for my class but It's kind of expensive so does anyone knows if they have the same Homework problems so i just have buy the 5th edition instead of the 6th.

  1. If its for college than I think you will be fine....I used the 5e for calc 2 and calc 3. But for calc 3 the new edition came out but my class did not get the new book... My teacher used the new edtion of the book...I think the problems will be numbered differently and they are mostly the same problems but maybe a few new problems in each chapter...but my college calc teachers never collected the hw so it didn't even matter if the problems were different cause its still the same calculus concept. I always buy the older edtions inorder to save money and I never had a problem with them being too different.  SO if i was you I would buy the old edtion and you can find the pdf version of the solution manual all over the internet or with ares or limewire.
