Does the AFL really need teams from outside Victoria?

I liked it much better when it was the VFL. I reckon we should have kept the VFL and if other states wanted to be involved they could have formed their own competition.

  1. I think they do.

Why should we all miss out on the best game in the world just because we aren't born in Victoria.

    My views?

Vic didn't mind taking our 4 million to buy in in the beginning!!

  2. If the VFL didn't go national there would have been several clubs biting the dust, my team being one of them.

I think it's great the national comp, but I'm sorry to say the Kangaroos are going to be the next club to perish, they should have taken the offer when they had the chance.

  3. because richmond are rubbish faker faaaaaag \n

o wife hay i bet you watch a lota pornnnn blisterhands DONTANSWER FAKER

  4. no they don't

they are there but not wanted by the majority of fans

  5. don't get me wrong i loved the old VFL,but hey we had the strongest comp at the time and that's what they used to go National,i like the National comp and i think its made footy in general a lot stronger in terms of being the number 1 sport in the country.

saying that i still hate the fact the AFL are intent on bringing down certain old historic Melbourne clubs in favour of no history made up-slapped together clubs interstate i.e the gold coast fiasco a perfect example.

i love footy and the National comp rocks as is but in my heart I'm all ABOUT THE BIG V,so id say if it aint broke don't fix it how we stand at the moment is fine with me

unless the AFL want to get a team set up in tassie (another true AFL state) id support that.

  6. OK, Imagine in vic it was only the VFL clubs.....but they couldnt take players from interstate. What you would have is 4 or 5 mediocre leagues around the country. BORING.

I like the National League, but dont take away the vic clubs - they were there first.

  7. I agree to some degree but it makes it more interesting having interstate rivals and interstate fans to stir up at the G.

  8. why not.  won't it make the sport bigger and better.  I believe it is the best already but games like soccer (which i hate) have worldwide rule

  9. I'm sure this question is designed to stir.

Imagine what would happen if the Vics went alone. They would sink - & that's what was happening & the AFL was designed to prop up the ailing Vic clubs in financial straits.

If that did happen, at least a Melbourne club would have a better chance of winning a grand final........
