I was planning on joining the Air Force last year with hopes of getting into the language program. At the last minute I won a scholarship for a paramedic program I really wanted.
The scholarship was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I'll still be young enough to join the Air Force after I finish the program and fulfill the requirements that I agreed to when I accepted the scholarship.
My parents were both in the Army and they've told me that people there can, with special paperwork or something, have dual MOS, like two official army jobs. When I join the Air Force will I be allowed the same opportunity or will I only be allowed to practice as a paramedic when I'm not in the AF uniform?
And no, not joining the AF is not an option. I've wanted it for too many years.
