  1. I personally believe that American society is not set-up to be "family focused." For example, the rising cost of EVERYTHING makes it very difficult to provide for families (although we could live a more natural lifestyle in order to cut costs - like the Amish, but that would take some getting used to).

Plus, America does not provide even half the attention of building strong family values that other countries do. For example, Germany pays parental leave - 100 percent of your paycheck for 14 weeks and 67 percent the next 12 to 14 MONTHS after the child is born, which can partially be shared with the father. Imagine that! A situation where fathers are encouraged to stay home with mom and baby so that they can build a strong relationship with their families. America, on the other hand, doesn't require one red cent to be paid. We have nothing more than the Family Medical Leave Act stating that you can take up to 12 weeks of UNPAID leave and still have a job to go back to. However, that can be undermined by individual state laws that often empower employers to fire w/o justification.

  2. There should be much thought put into having children if one has any consideration for the kind of life the child is going to want to live.  Helping the children climb another rung up the social ladder, the education ladder, the employment ladder will give his children that same opportunity,  Too many children are left twisting in the wind.

  3. Socialist laws that have crept into America have harmed our society TREMENDOUSLY. If Barack Hussein Obama gets in, the problem will even be made much worse.

  4. It depends on your work and the benefits package.  Where I work it is great.  Nationwide, maybe not but remember we have work available whereas in other countries you are lucky to have a job.  I have spoken with foreign exchange students, and we have it pretty good here.

  5. no how many teens are having baby's now
