I'm obviously very pleased about it, but in the grand scheme of things, does the sweep mean anything of significance?

  1. yes means they swept them now on to next team..long way to go..

  2. It does underscore a flaw in the MLB competition and motivation arrangement.  Since players are highly motivated by money, this series sweep supports a rules change to allow players to bet on their own team. No limit baseball betting by player to which player is under contract. I cannot think of any other motivator to get a "team" to forth its best effort.

  3. all it means is that the sox need to pick up their game.  the angels are playing great and they played even better defeating the red sox but in the long run, no it doenst mean anything.  The sox and angels play again next week at fenway where the redsox play their best baseball.  Chances are the sox and angels will both be division winners and will faceoff in the ALDS.  That series will have a totally different feel to it and the sox wont go as easily is tehy did this series

  4. It is HUGE...Angel fan from So. Cal. banished to Huntsville Alabama.  The Sox have always had the Angels number.  This year might be different..I do think the Angels need to pick up another bat before the trade deadline.  My old season tickets were in section 313 of the club level, front row at about the 3rd base bag..Lots of foul balls..Loved all the servers and I go every time I am lucky enough to get to the Big A..That's right, Big A, not Edison Field..lol

  5. not an angels fan, but less of a bosox fan.

it means they are a true contender this year...they got a well built team.

  6. Yes, it means the Halos now have the best record in baseball and the Bosox are not quite what they used to be.........

  7. Yes, the Yankees can catch up at any point and kick Boston out of Wild Card contention or even the division. Every game counts now. The Yankees have the best record after the A.S. break.

  8. well i think it kinda tells them to back off a bit haha but its too early..

I mean the angels are better this year. It would have been more effective if the angels swept boston @ fenway (hey maybe it might happen next week or somethin when they do go to fenway) because everyone knows angels just can't win at fenway.. God must know the reason why cuz i certainly don't!!!  :(

so they just need to stay consistent and keep up with the offense ^^ cuz pitching is there man!

angels are pretty darn good.. watch out ;)
