Does anyone own this device? I'm going to college next week and getting an apartment soon. Its very portable so I'm considering purchasing it. I was wondering if it will give my Toshiba Satellite 802.11 b/g computer faster speeds than my linksys bass station.

  1. I've got two of them, and yes, they work really well.  It's part of the wireless-N standard to be backwards compatible with B and G adapters.

The only bummer is that your entire wireless network will run at the speed of the slowest adapter on it.  So if your friend connects with a G adapter and you are running an N adapter, you will be running only at G speed.  BTW - this is just the way WIFI works, not an Apple limitation.

  2. Yes It has A/B/G/N
