  1. Yes base curve matters. Everyone has unique curvatures on the cornea. Depending on whether the front of your eyes are "flatter, avg, or steeper", the specific base curve will be assigned to your set of eyes. A different size base curve will cause excessive movement and blurriness when you wear the contacts. So yes...BASE CURVE MATTERS.

  2. yes the base curve on contact lenses matter. you need to be fit for them first of all, for this specific reason! everybodys eyes are shaped differently, and if your fit with a lens that has the incorrect base curve, it won't fit properly and can cause a corneal ulcer. very serious by the way

  3. Of course it does.  That's like asking "does dosage of a medication REALLY matter?" or "Should I take the high blood pressure med my doctor prescribed, or should I pick a different one?"  I'm so sick of people playing doctor.

  4. Only wear the contacts that your doctor has prescribed, base curve matters a lot. If you want to switch brands of contacts or you typically wear clear and want to try colors, you need to call your doctor and have them review your chart and make sure it's okay. It's illegal to alter your contact lens prescription without your doctor's approval and if you order contacts online, they send a fax asking if it's okay to sell you the contacts. Please call your doctor, a lot of times, if they have seen your recently, they will approve a change without requiring you to come in.

  5. It is ok to wear sumthing near to it. no problem
