Question:

Does the Blackberry Curve 8330 have threaded text messaging?

I know the Instinct and the iPhone (for example) have threaded text messaging, so instead of having a separate inbox and outbox it just lists the different people you're texting so you can quickly see both the texts you sent and the ones you've received. Does the 8330 have this feature or is it typical inbox/outbox setup?

  1. While the text messaging on the BlackBerry is technically threaded, it doesn't look like the IM-style messaging on the iPhone or Palm, where you see the send and received messages all as one conversation.

  2. Okay this is going to be a short and simple review because there is barely anything to say bad about this phone. It's got a great camera, get operating system, navigation, awesome keyboard for texting, and great 3rd party applications to make the phone work even better.

Some applications I would recommend are JiveTalk, Ascendo Money, and a couple others. The only thing I think the BlackBerry needs is the iPhone / Treo FULL style threaded text messaging. It has threaded messaging to an extent, but not all the way to the point of the iPhone.

Battery life is amazing, overall, rate the phone 5/5 no questions asked. Great speakerphone, has everything you could possibly need from a phone. I'd take it over the Voyager and iPhone any day of the week!

Theres a full review of the phone. And My father has this phone, what the review means about the threaded texting means, it does have it, but you have to calibrate it, and adjust the settings to get it. And even when that is done, for some reason the phone tends to switch back to the standard inbox outbox setup, every once in a while. ( i mean a period of like a month)
