Does the Bose VS-2 use HDMI v1.3?

ok so im thinkin bout gettin a bose lifestyle ht system and im wonderin if the Bose VS-2 (a video enhancer that comes with the Lifestyle 35) uses hdmi v1.3, and will it retain the quality of the video signal that goes through it. thnx!

  1. Bose are in general very expensive for the mediocre quality and limited connectivity one gets. You can do MUCH better than Bose for a lot less money from many manufacturers.  You won't find any legitimate professional reviews that rate Bose well. Save your money ... the only people who buy Bose are the ignorant and/or gullible.

    That said, $300 to be able to connect HDMI is silly. Almost all manufacturuers build HDMI (and often HDMI 1.3) capability into their receivers these days. Only Bose would make a big deal about charging extra for something that should have been built in.

    The specs for the VS-2 don't mention HDMI 1.3 ... so it's pretty safe to assume it isn't. That said, 1080p video quality is supported even on HDMI 1.0 ... so it's not a big deal.
