Does the British idea of camp humour offend the GLBT community?

For example, as a straight guy personally I think prejudice is also offensive, but is the idea of being fun uniquely anyones.

When you look at the Carry On Gang and their series of movies, or the sit com on TV, there are a lot of one line gags still used by the heterosexual community, and even to what extent does the meterosexual community desregard reverse reverse discriminations?

Basically satire, as an ironically parody can not be intended as prejudice but can be, is anything unique or even uniquely solely wholely anything anymore? I dunno, been caring for me old cheese for three years but put my life on hold after marrying a stinger? How does one stop such bazaar ritual if at all, if she saw kindness and had had bad folks make her that way, you dont know the history but they were bad in this case?

Basically everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, I apologise from my British Ancestors if camp humour as a straight guy is unacceptable, women love it? I think

  1. As a woman, I find British camp GLBT humour funny. I don't think my perspective is so skewed, either.

I believe the British deal with alternative lifestlyes with a great deal more respect and honesty than other countries and cultures and therefore, (IMO) deserve to joke about it.

If the subject comes up in British programme/movie/play that I may be watching, it doesn't make me feel uncomfortable in the least because it's cheeky and done with a smile-y twinkle in the eye. Not in a racist or judgmental way.

Anyway, that's my two-pence worth. Thanks for the question. Hope I made sense.
