Does the Canon Rebel XSi have a internal calibrated light meter?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'calibrated' but yes, it does have an internal light meter.  *all* of the major modern digital SLRs have internal light meters.  

Not only do they have light meters, but their meters have various settings, not just center-weight.  They also have built in spot metering, as well as matrix (what cannon calls evaluative) metering.  If you're used to the old days of hand held meters, the new DSLRs will blow you away with their relative speed and ease of use.
