Does the Dave Ramsey program really work?

I just bought his total money makeover book and have read it. It sounds like it's common sense, but just wanted to ask if anyone has had any experience in this. Our budget is a little harder to do as my husbands checks vary, and aren't always on every Friday or Monday of each week.

It is true that most of it is common sense. It's like anything else, you have to set a goal and set your mind to reach that goal. It is common sense that most of I do not have anymore when it comes to handling money. Make a plan and stick to it. It can work. I am debt free (mortgage only) and proud of it!

His program only works if you work the program! We have been using the principles (common sense) for 2 years- we no longer fight about money. We have paid off a lot of debt- still aways to go but we are getting there. We tell everyone and encourage everyone to use his plan!

Re-read the section in his book about budgets. Ramsey goes over how to do a budget with irregular income. His website will also give you the same information (2nd website). Ramsey himself was on irregular income when he did the steps he describes in the book.

Follow his advice and you will win with money!
