Does the DirecTV Premier Package include the reciever?

its like $87. Does it include the receiver? or is that extra? I want HD channels & a DVR as well.

It depends. When signing up as a new customer, if your credit qualifies, you can get a certain number of standard receivers at no cost with a $100 discount off ONE advanced product upgrade (meaning a HD -OR- DVR upgrade at no cost, or $100 off a HD-DVR). If you have just one receiver you only pay for the programming, but each additional receiver is an additional $4.99/month for the programming.

A regular receiver will cost you $4.99 a month, but a HD and/or DVR will cost you more if you're an existing subscriber.  However, if your a new subscriber they will probably give it to you free or at a discount.
