Finally, the correct answer. The Earth does not rotate, but REVOLVES around the Sun.

  2. No.  The Earth REVOLVES around the Sun.  The Earth rotates (spins) on its own axis.

  3. Not really..  Actually the Galaxy and everthing in it rotates around the earth.  Just depends on your perspective.  DOnt you see the sun comeing from the east and rotate around the sky to the west??? well thats the entire galaxy rotating around the earth.

    The Earth REVOLVES around the sun...it "rotates" about its own axis (not the sun).  Mixing up the terms for rotate and revolve is pretty common, though it shouldn't be...their definitions are, in fact, very easy to comprehend.

  6. Yes........and you must be Copernicus, because he asked that question a long time ago and was mocked for it.  Turns out he was able to prove to everyone that he was right.  All of the planets and even the asteroid belt rotates around the Sun's gravitational pull.
