Well, if it DIDN'T go back, where do you suppose it would go after it got to Paris?  Do you think the train just reappears in London?

Yeah both ways... it arrives in london at the Kings cross St pancras station (so you can get the tube around - or to your hotel/backpackers when you arrive - hope this helps :o)
