  1. it hurts when they inject it.. and the place where they injected it was kinda sore about half a day.. i couldn't even navigate the steering wheel of my car without my arm hurting

  2. Shots dont bother me one bit. As long as you look the other way while getting the shot everything is fine.

  3. Gardasil is not known for hurting.  It's a small volume (0.5 cc).  Tetanus is known for aching after you get the shot.

Don't worry about how it affects others.  Just look the other way when you get it, take a big breath and it will be over before you know it.

  4. way worse. sorry. just wanted to be honest. its horrible.

  5. Honey,

maybe its not fair for me to answer the question, but i will because its interesting to me.

Personally i can say from experience because the shot probably will not help me. I have had more than one partner in my life, i am married, and already have children.  More important than this, because it is still a new shot, even with the years of testing, the period for researchers to watch for is 20 years.............so between now and 20 years from now, you don't know what positives or negatives will come out of the woodwork about thes shots.

Yes, the shot is supposed to protect you from4 major strains of cervical cancer caused by the hpv virus., and protect your against other strains which are less likely to cause cancer, but nevertheless, it does cause cancer.

I have given thousands of gardasil shots so far., and my patients are medical students, graduate students, fellows/residents, nursing students, and their spouses. So we see the residents, and aspiring doctors, who see patients, or will one day have their own patients.

either the shot hurst, or they are true punks.

Most of them have compared it to the Tetanus, or Tdap which are similar.

Most have said the first shot hurts the least, and the last hurts the most, and i don't mean as i am administering the shot, they are talking about the soreness which comes after.........sort of like the Tdap.

I normally get many compliments for my skills, having them tell me its painless, but the soreness I can do nothing about.

I have heard of only 3 cases of paralises, and none in the state i live in/or the major organization i work in. I have heard of possibilities of sterility.

Which is another reason you should way your options, i am not saying having children takes presidence over quality of life, but you do have to weigh all options, and the shot is not for everyone.

another thing, if you are pregnant, or trying to get pregnant, or think you are pregnant, now is not the time to receive the shot.....

Weigh all your options before you get it, it HELPS protect you from getting SOME strains of cervical cancer...........not all, which is still better than nothing at all, but it does not protect you against major std, the only one it wil protect you against is HPV, which is a STD.

    Honeychild.

  6. Personally, I didn't think it hurt too much. On the other hand, my sister was almost crying.

  7. It is not too bad, Just be sure you eat before you go get the shot. People have passed out from it from not eating at all before it. Otherwise it is not that bad.

  8. DO NOT GET THAT SHOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ITS caused 18 DEATHS -- SEIZURES AND A DISEASE THAT LEADS TO PARALISIS!!!! AND MANY OTHER ILLNESS INCLUDING BAD HEADACES AND DIZZINESS!!!!!!!! DO NOT GET THIS POISON IN YOUR BODY PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE ARE ACTUALLY SECOND GUESSING IT>

  9. The first shot only itches after you get it. The second one is much less painful.

I've heard the third one hurts, but if you look away it's fine. I get my third one soon. :]

Just as long as you don't watch them put it in, maybe close your eyes or hold something tight if you need to, you'll be fine :]

  10. yes.  but you shouldnt get it under the age of 17 because my brothers friends sister is permatly paralized from it. its pretty bad.  :[

  11. Well to be honest, needles are my worst fear. I'm fourteen, and I got it[[I think I still need the third one]] But I think they hurt a lot! The needle is painful, and it feels like the liquid inside the shot is very thick and I can feel every little bit going into my arm.

It was honestly worse than any other shot I've gotten.

    Not fun at all!

  12. It hurts about the same as all the other shots I've gotten. The Gardisil shot felt just like the tetanus one, except with this one you need to get 3 of them instead of just 1.
