  1. No, it was banned after world war II.  the beat is still the same. But the first and second stanza are not used any more

    Now it's

Since 1991 only the third part is used which is

  2. The German national anthem still includes all three stanzas, but only the third stanza is performed on official occasions. However, the first two stanzas are not illegal. As a matter of fact, all three stanzas are Germany's national anthem. The German Wikipedia says (roughly translated):

"German chancellor Konrad Adenauer proposed on April 29th 1952 in a letter to Theodor Heuss [German president* then], that the "song by Hoffmann and Haydn" should be recognized as the national anthem, and on stately assemblies, only its third stanza should be sung. Heuss' hesitating, but agreeing answer made the "Lied der Deutschen", and especially its third stanza, the de facto national anthem."

Interestinglingly, in post-war times, Germany used Beethoven's "ode to joy" as a provisional anthem for some time. It's now (without text) the anthem of the European Union.

*: The chancellor is the chief of the legislative in Germany; "president" is more or less a representative office. However, the president has the right of veto to laws passing the parliament. Current chancellor is Angela Merkel, president is Horst Köhler.

  3. For now it's officially forbidden. But it will return when Germany awakes from slumber and realizes it does have a destiny.

  4. The far left in Germany will not allow it.

  5. no its not allowed

    by the way:

Deutschland, Deutschland über... (germany, germany above everything. Above everything in the world) was not ment in the beginning to say we were supperior to other countries.

When the song was created germany consisted of many independent kingdoms which sometimes fought against each other.

Germany, germany above... was ment that germany, as one piece,  should stand above all german kingdoms and there should be one united germany and germans shouldnt fight against each other.

This idea should stand above everything.

It was ment to be very brotherly but sadly the n***s used it for their evil ideas.
