However the President lives and works in the White House(The Oval Office is in the White House)!!!

Governors of each state work at their State's Capitol Building.  For instance, the Governor of Virginia works in the Capitol Building in Richmond, Virginia.  The Governor of Wisconsin works in the Capitol Building in Madison, Wisconsin.  And so forth...
