I was thinking about getting the new Grand Theft Auto 4, but I have some concerns. Can you get fat in the new game if you don't exercise like the last Grand Theft Auto. Can you work out get riped. I know that sounds dumb to be concerned about but I just want to know if they took out anything or just added more cool stuff.

I also would appreciate if someone could tell me a full description of what you can do in the game. One more thing Please don't tell me the story Thank You!

  1. Fourth part seems very different, cause unlike other parts it has pretty well constructed plot ( without weird/funny quests that exist just for fun). Its also much more real - its easier to die, shooting sequences are much more complicated bringing lot of satisfaction, cars are harder to drive, there are no ubercosmowtf weapons like chainsaw, katana, flamethrower or hand mini gun.

Other things that doesn't feature in gta4 and were pretty cool are:

Jet packk, Heli with rockets, getting guns for hidden packages, developing your character (no stat bars to rise), the army (no tanks :/), bicycles, planes, non urban terrains (except for beaches), unusuall vehicles, para medic/firefighter/cab missions, cool clothes/haircuts, purchaseable apartments, car tuning, parachuting.

Things you can do exept for main plot missions:

Police wanted missions, assasination missions, hanging out with friends (bowling/darts/pool/strip-club/cabaret/ sightseeing in boat or heli/drinking/eating), dating GF (basically same as hanging out with friends), killing pidgeons (form of hidden packages), street races, car stealing missions, meeting random ppl who give you missions, playing arcade game, searching for unique jumps, purchasing clothes and last but not least - multiplayer matches.

  2. Sadly... no you can't gain weight by overeating, and you can't even exercise anymore T_T even so, i still found it as addicting as ever

lol riding around in taxi's is fun

  3. Well I don't know about working out & all that but it has way better graphics & u have a cell phone. It's almost like reality but different, but hey u wouldn't waste no money buying it.

  4. they took away the getting fat thing, but you can hang out with more people and do ALOT of things, you can do that stuff by calling them with a cell phone, the storyline is well planned (but wont reveal anything),  they also took away the customize your cars to the way you want it to be...such as the nitro and all that other stuff, you can still change your wardrobe, they still have the girlfriends thing, but they dont have the lame cutscene (thank god), but some people that you hang with dont like everything so they have their likes and dislikes, they changed alot in the game which is a good thing...the whole GTA3, vice city, and San Andreas is just a giant storyline in a way...but GTA 4 is a new start and story line....so in other words....this game IS a MUST BUY

  5. I've never played it but I've seen how it is and the graphics are MUCH better being it's a PS3/Xbox game unfortunately, I don't have those! :(

I'm sure all the stuff that was in the old one is in the new one, you'd think they'd just improve it, but you never know! Basics would be the same tho..

  6. No you cannot workout or gain/lose weight

The gunfight system has been reworked to a better third-person scheme. The player can slide to cover, blindfire, and free aim. When locked on, the target's health is indicated by eight green segments inside the target circle. As the opponent's health decreases, the number of segments drop and turn red. Players can now target individual body parts using a revamped targeting system.

The player can evade the police by escaping the search radius and temporarily keeping a low profile by not committing further offences. The wanted levels can be lost by either driving into a "Pay 'N' Spray" as in previous games or by disguising himself by clandestinely changing vehicles in empty areas such as parking garages. However, entering a "Pay 'N' Spray" will no longer remove the wanted levels if the police notice Niko entering the garage. The player has the option to attempt escaping arrest before he is handcuffed, at the cost of increasing his wanted level by one star.[24] Additionally, pedestrians with cellphones can report crimes they witness in the surrounding environment.

The use of the mobile phone has been expanded to perform multiple actions. When selecting the mobile phone, a zoomed-in version of the phone pops up in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. The phone allows the player to view text messages and appointments, as well as arrange to meet friends for a variety of activities. Retrying a failed mission can be performed by accessing the menu. The player can take photos with the mobile phone and upload them to the police computer during certain missions. Niko can dial 911 to call the police for them to arrest an attacker, or just to waste their time on a false alarm. He can also contact the paramedics and the fire station.[31] Paramedics, upon arrival, can heal Niko to full health if he so chooses. The cost is the same as if he were to lose all health and be healed at a hospital. Also, the phone allows access to the game's multiplayer.
