Question:

Does the Greek Goddess Tethys have a Roman name?

I'm doing a project and it says to include both the Roman and Greek name for the Gods and Goddesses. I tried looking on the Internet, but I found no conclusive evidence that she had both a Roman name and a Greek name.

  1. I can't find it in my mythology books either, the closest I can find is under the name of the daughter of Oceanus and Tethys, or according to another report of Nereus and Doris, and may be compared to the sea goddes of the romans under these names:  Salacia, Neverita, and Venilia. But maybe these names will guide you to the information you need.

  2. Teti and/or Tetide

  3. I think she have the same name Teti..

Look here there is a table of name referring between Grece-Romans names  http://www.sullacrestadellonda.it/mitolo...  ..

  4. the correct name is Thetis . No any Roman name- Thetis mother of Achilles  if it happens that you didn't know it
