The casing says it is a "full spectrum" light, 45000 full spectrum or something. I am asking because i am taking it off my aquarium and using it for my bearded dragon who needs UVB light...

  1. NO!  These are daylight UVA bulbs and are not the kind that beardies need!  The bulb must say it is a UVB bulb.  Good brands are Repti-glo 8.0 or Repti-sun 10.0.  Do not use compact fluorescent bulbs as they can cause eye damage.  Make sure there is no plastic or glass between the bulb and the lizard, as these totally filter out any UVB.  UVB bulbs need to be within 12 inches of the animals basking spot, on for 12 hours a day, and changed every 6 months as they lose UVB potency.
