Does the Invisalign treatment relapse?

I'm looking at getting my teeth straightened with Invisalign. Does this treatment relapse once completed? And is it a worthwhile treatment method, or should I opt for the more conventional braces. Which one works better???

  1. BOTH TRADITIONAL AND INVISALIGN CAN RELAPSE IN TIME UNLESS RETENTION IS PROVIDED.

    BOTH WORK WELL.

  2. Your teeth are constantly moving. It’s a fact of life. You could have perfect naturally straight teeth at 20 and they would be all crooked and crowded at 50! Or you could straighten your teeth when young…and they’ll get crooked and crowded again later on.

If you used metal braces to straighten your teeth, then you’ll have to buy a retainer and use it at night so your teeth stay put. If you were still growing during that process (like you were a teenager when using the braces), then you have to get another retainer (they cost about $300) that fits you better.

With Invisalign, you just keep the last aligner to use as a retainer.

You don’t really have to wear a retainer every night but why not? If you do, it just becomes a painless good habit like brushing your teeth. If you don’t, your teeth will eventually move and then you’ll have to wear the retainer, painfully, to put them back where they belong.
