Question:

Does the JetBlue $100 change fee seem fair?

I mean come on, what do they penalize you for still riding with them, just on a different flight? And how much paperwork (if any) is this "change fee" paying for? If I can change my own flight online by myself, isnt everything done electronically? Does it really affect them that much?

Its the biggest traveler turn-off, especially when, like me, your international flight got changed, and you had no way of knowing. Now you have to pay $100 to get on a later flight. Bah humbug.

  1. Res agent here

all the airlines does it....$$$$ maker

it sucks, If I get the caller, I do my best to waive it, if the story sounds viable

    goodluck

    and I am so sorry

  2. Airlines are all charging a fee if you change your plans.  What JetBlue is doing is industry standard.  It is not their fault.  However airlines do also sell an unrestricted ticket which means you can change without penalty.

As for your situation where the international airline changed your flight, you can contact them and see what they have to say.  If you do not get anywhere, write them a letter and see what happens.  If you are a frequent traveler with them, they will usually respond to you.

  3. I travel a lot and I'm afraid that's pretty much the norm now. They are nickel and diming (and hundred dollaring) us to death now. American Airlines is going to start charging $15 just to check one bag. Sheesh.

  4. idk compared to all the fees they hit you with now...its okayy if its worth it for u

  5. I'm surprised they are charging so much. I just went to Vegas and the airline was offering us free round trip tickets, hotels, and meals just to give up our tickets and leave 6 hours later.

    Obviously they have money.
