I know there's a USA side and Canadian for maid of the mist, do they both take you to the same location, wouldn't this require a passport if they were to take you to the Canadian side.

  1. You've to have a passport going or to USA and Canada ,both.

its all same location ........pretty place .....

bring a rain jacket or pouncho......

You want to stay on the Canada side , there's hotels there

and it's not Cheap .......make reservations .......

Parking space is limited...........you stay at a hotel you can stay at there parking but it's going to cost you $$$$$$ each day ............most hotels charge for parking ......

    Happy Traveling .........

  2. they both go the same path on the Niagara River.. which is just up to the falls. You can get on both sides but you won't need a passport. Have fun!

  3. yes and if your going to the niagra falls and you have kids your kids will love it

  4. Passports are only currently needed to FLY to and from Canada..so you can travel by land or water with no problem...and you can go ahead to the Canadian side when you visit the falls...best views and activities are over there.  You just need a photo I.D. and birth certificate  and children need a birth certificate.  See site below for current regs.

  5. The Maid is Canadian owned and you access it from the Canadian side. It travels in the vicinity of the Falls but returns passengers to the same spot where they got on.

Rain ponchos are provided and there are recycling bins to dump them when you're done, or you can keep them as a souveneir. They are free of charge when you pay for the tour. They also come in handy if you do the Journey Behind the Falls tour as well.

You will need photo ID to enter Canada, e.g. a drivers license, but it's good to have a secondary piece of ID with you as well. The guards are becoming tougher now and if you can get a passport it would be great.

The Maid tour is awesome; I have done it several times over the years and for a visitor, it never fails to impress!
