Question:

Does the McCain camp think that female voters are incredibly stupid?

I just read a Y! news article where McCain or a spokesperson stated that Palin's 17 y.o. daughter being pregnant makes Palin "more real." No, it doesn't! As a young, independent voter, I don't let an elephant or donkey determine who I vote for. I vote for the person I think is best for the job...and the McCain camp is really pissing me off! Female voters aren't going to vote for Palin just because she is female. Her daughter being pregnant iisn'tgoing to make her "real"...it's ridiculous. I also read another article where McCain (himself) was comparing Palin to Obama and the article cited how wrong McCain was. I'm just so irritated! Females, Clinton supporters, etc - does this not irritate you?

  1. yes

  2. No the McCain camp doesn't think that But it is obvious that the B. HO "obama" camp thinks they are.

  3. Her having problems does make her real, don't we all have problems. However, I find McCains choice of a woman is just a cheap attempt to get votes, not because that is who he really wanted. I am a republican and a woman, but he hasn't swayed me at all.

  4. We will see in November if enough Hillary supporters are as stupid as the GOP hopes, and votes Republican just because there's a female in the second slot (who was a tokenistic, affirmative action pick, not one who tried to EARN it fair & square like Hillary did.)

  5. A child of 17 being pregnant doesn't make her mother "real". She just makes herself grow up too fast.

  6. Get over yourself!

It's okay for McCain or his spokesperson to think or even speculate that a pregnancy in the Palin family will make her more real.  In case you haven't noticed, people often think what they want to!

It's up to each individual voter to decide whether they THINK the same or not!

  7. Perhaps it's PMS and not McCain?

  8. Christ--try some Midol!

  9. I liked Palin LONG before McCain chose her.

This just sealed the deal for my vote for Palin/McCain

  10. Yes!

  11. They are hoping that they can attract votes from evangelicals and women at the same time. Hopefully people aren't that stupid, but judging on some of the remarks I've seen on here, people are falling for it.

  12. He's an old man from an older generation.  He thinks that if you'd vote for Hillary, you'll vote for Palin.  It's dumb, but that's the way he thinks.

  13. They only think Democrat females are stupid.

Which by reaing posts on Yahoo Answers, they might be right

  14. I'm a man so i won't presume to know how female voters feel, but I can understand where you're coming from.

  15. No, but that's just the point.

If women take a solid look at Sarah Palin's credentials and her positions, her irrefutable defense of life, her willingness to reform government, her tenacity at chasing down wasteful spending, and her dedication to provide new sources of energy and growth....

....then I can't see how you'd think that McCain is gambling on Palin's gender.

    Sarah Palin doesn't PROMISE reform.

    She BRINGS it!!

  16. I have to admit it's a rather curious pick.  Surely the Republicans have other, more well known or more veteran female leadership to pick from if McCain was going after Hillary's supporters.  Looking at Palin's political policies and Hillary's it's pretty clear they're reaching different demographics.

It will be interesting to see how this pans out for McCain.  It does look as though he's satisfied the more conservative base with Palin, though.

  17. The McCain camp believes the entire middle class is stupid.

  18. Yeah the McCain team is doing really bad, not only she's against abortion even in case of rape or incest, which goes completely against women's right, but she's supported Alaska Independence Party, which is completely ridiculous since she's running as a VP for the united country. I haven't really made my mind yet on who should win, but McCain is doing a bad job right now at picking an ultra conservative woman trying to manage a whole country when she can't even manage her own family.

  19. thats the only way he can win.....and as you can see some are falling for it

If a 65 year old white man had the same views as Palin he would be your typical far right wing republican

  20. This whole thing was a Hale Mary not a well thought out plan. Palin is not credible enough to run this country. My God wake up Republicans.

  21. No, it doesn't irritate me. I support Palin because I am a female, a mother, and I agree with her stance on political issues. What is ridiculous is acting like her daughter is the first pregnant teen ever.

  22. I dont like McCain...from my opinion, he doesn't think highly of women, except for his wife and running mate.

  23. I think it's a fake pick for vice-president.  A fake move should be a fake response from voters.

And yes, I think they do think people are stupid.  Some people are sheep, so it might work

  24. I think McCain dragged a woman to his side so he'd look more "progressive". He knows that Obama has the votes of most of Clinton's female supporters, so he wants to pander to the female crowd by getting a woman of his own!

  25. It pisses me off.  We already knew that McCain was sexist, but this seals the deal.  He clearly believed that he would get the support of women by picking a woman.  It's offensive because there are many well qualified female candidates in the republican party but he picked a no-name person with a tiny political resume who happens to be attractive.

  26. Not unlike that feeble attempt by Hillary and Obama to unite the party

  27. Yes.

It also points out that her family is a real family with real problems and moving to Washington DC and having mom leave them and travel around the world isn't a "choice" any concerned mother would make.

What she (and the Republican Party) is doing to her family is a shame.

Those aren't what I would consider "Family Values".

  28. OK Obamite - whatever you say....

  29. Yes. Republicans win by getting the votes of Hypochristians and the non-thinkers of our society.

Anyone else votes simply out of fear or because that's the way "Daddy votes"...

  30. no but he thinks the hillery voters are stupid (they are)

  31. No. Two points.
