Does the Metro Link go to Hunnington and Newport Beach? (In CA)?

friend lives in West Covina and we need to get from there to either beach. Does the Metro go there? and back?

  1. No, but if you take the Metro train down to < Santa Ana, Tustin or Irvine you can probably then get a bus to the beach area.  


  2. The closest station to HB is Santa Ana, and the closest to NB is Irvine.  

    You can take an OCTA bus from the station to either city.  See www.google.com/transit and type in "Santa Ana Metrolink" and your address.

  3. from from either beach you can take the OCTA line 1 into Long beach

    to 7th/Channel, then board  a metro 577 bus to El Monte then transfer again to a foothill transit silver streak express bus this bus will

    take to near the West covina shopping center (you dont say where in  west covina your friend is so this the closet I can get you without more information

    fare would $1.25 on the OCTA bus

    then you will pay  

    pay $2.45 + $0.30 for Transfer.,

    then on the silver streak you

    Use Transfer + $1.50,
