we are seeing teams lose players to foreign countries in the NBA, and NHL. while in the MLB only minor leaguers leave and the top players in the world are in MLB. The NFL only has the canadian football league to compete with.

  1. no because the money will be even and the teams will be balanced more than in other sports

  2. I actually think they should, but for a different reason. Look at the offseason of 2010. Many teams are making lopsided trades for expiring contracts so they have the cap room for a great free agent that year. In fact, when the Cavs proposed Szczerbiak for Vince Carter, I found myself thinking it was a bad trade for the Cavs.

If the NBA got rid of the salary cap, the only reason a team would have a much bigger salary then the other is because the owners want to spend less money, not that they can't spend more. The league's revenue sharing deal is that the home team makes 60% of the money and the away team makes 40%. And on merchandise, the teams split the money right now. Each team has about the same amount of money, so the game wouldn't be unfair.

  3. Hello no i'm glad this is happening this pushes for a globlalization of the NBA. I'm tired of seeing European Football(Soccer) get so much hype worldwide. The U.S will have a globaly popular sport and NBA franchises won't have to resort to looking to europe to fill their rosters or to find talent. As well as world clubs offering lucrative offers to NBA players to play for their teams. Sadly there is still a long way before basketball can reach the global popularity of Soccer, but if the cap is responsible for that than h**l ya!.

  4. no, because then one team can just get all the great players, and nobody will beat them ever

    itll be like team usa

  5. No then Mark Cuban would take advantage of it with his nearly $3 billion since he wants to win

  6. no...i think its absolutly ridiculous how in baseball all the rich, high marketed teams get all the player i.e. yankees, red sox, cubs

  7. They should raise it to about $100 million.

  8. I wouldn't say to totatlly do away with the salary cap, but I do see some kind of exception for teams that are vying to keep a player from another league in europe as a possibility.

  9. than what is the point to win trophies and not get payed
