  3. No, and neither does Australia. The rest of the world's aircraft carriers COMBINED do not equal the U.S. Navy's.

  5. Uh, no, we are the only country with full size carriers, unless you consider new zealand itself an aircraft carrier.

  6. Could be wrong on this one but when the Falklands conflict kicked off in 1982 a number of the British warships which took part had actually already been sold including one of the carriers.

    That had been sold to either the New Zealand or the Indian navy. Certainly one of the ships was actually destined for New Zealand.

    One of the answers above stated that "we" (im assuming the USA) are the only nation with full size carriers and whilst the question didnt specify the size of carrier its not true anyway.

    The French still have a large carrier.

    The Royal Navy has a number of small Harrier and Helicopter carriers and has just ordered two full size carriers for delivery in 2014
