Does the Northern Ring Road in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia get jammed in peak hours?

Planning to move to another place soon. It means moving further away from my workplace, but it seems to be just an easy direct straight highway drive. UNLESS the road (the Northern Ring Road, Westbound in the morning, Eastbound in the afternoon) gets jammed in rush hours. Any info? Thanks.

  1. The Saudis have an English version of their traffic website below.

  2. I was using this road everyday for the past year, my use of it was mainly like yours "Westbound in the morning, Eastbound in the afternoon". I have never seen it jammed :) The speed limit there is 120, but we usually drove at 80-100km/h.
