Does the PS3's cell got obsolete?

Does the new 4.7GHZ cell cpu made the PS3's 3.2GHZ cell cpu obsolete?cause I have a PS3 and since I discovered this I can't enjoy my console cause I feel it's obsolete,is it's cell obsolete?

PS3 will be obsolete once the PS4 comes out. However when it comes to computer chips you should know that a newer faster better thing is normally out within 6 months. You either buy what you want now and enjoy or you sit around never getting anything because it will be obsolete soon.

nope its not obsolete. STOP THINKING THAT jeez. the PS3 has 8 f*cking cells, you will see amazing graphics coming(killzone 2, heavy rain, final fantasy, etc)

do me a favor, get uncharted and metal gear solid 4, trust me you will forget about the 3.2GHz cell

Why are asking the same thing over an over again. What you can't enjoy your ps3 because there a bigger cpu out now give me a break.

as others have said the PS3 is by far obsolete. The developer have not even figured out how to make use of the Cell processor yet. As it sounds you have asked this same question over and over again.

My feeling is that you do not even have a PS3, other wise you would know about all the great games that are available now and those to come.

Enjoy your PS3, it's only just getting into it's stride.

Greater things are to come for the PS3 this Christmas.

You can't upgrade your PS3 processor so don't worry about it.

The PS3 is likely to last another 3 years at the very least.

The newer breed of cell processors will help to develop the Playstation 4 in the future.
